Island Magic

The Island Magic exhibition features imagery of the the Blasket and Skellig islands, and was launched at the Blasket Heritage Centre on April 30th by Padraig Kennelly, a photographer for over 50 years who established the newspaper Kerry’s Eye in Tralee in 1974.
Sheena has collaborated with Marina Cassidy to produce a wonderful visual and aural representation of the beauty that exists on the islands. It is a unique and moving presentation. Marina, who is undoubtedly one of Ireland’s finest exponents of solo performance with voice and harp brings a new dimension to the exhibitions images.
Sheena says “Our work is complementary. We feel that Marina’s music gives wings to my photographs and my images give vision to Marina’s music.”
