2010 Island Magic Exhibition
The exhibition opened on the 6th July at 6pm to coincide with the opening of the new Gallery at 41 Main Street, Kinsale, Co Cork. The exhibition was launched by journalist, Donal Musgrave.
Donal Musgrave started out in journalism in Fleet Street in the early 60s and has worked mainly with Irish papers-The Irish Press in London and Dublin, The Irish Times as the Cork based Munster Correspondent, The Sunday Tribune, and the Irish Examiner. In 45 years of journalism, he covered news and current affairs-politics, energy, the environment- and has been news editor and chief leader writer of the Examiner.
In his time, he covered the Synod of Bishops in Rome, the Biafran War in Nigeria, the Aberfan coal tip disaster in Wales, the troubles in Northern Ireland, the first Irish trade mission to China in 1978. Closer to home, he covered the Air India disaster off the Cork coast, and has written extensively on Gulf Oil and Bantry Bay, including the numerous oil spillages and the final tragedy of the Betelgeuse explosion.
As well as opening my new gallery (a few doors up from Giles Norman and behind Fishy Fishy Restaurant) my "Island Magic" exhibition is part of Kinsale Arts Week Artist Trail.
It will now be in 41 Main Street instead of 59 Lower O'Connell Street.

The exhibition will be on show at her new gallery at 41 Main Street, Kinsale right throughout Kinsale Arts Week. Kinsale Arts Week runs from 11th - 18th July 2010.
