Young Shags"Shags are scarce inland and even at the coast they rarely fly over headlands. They nest on cliff ledges and I managed to get close to these two young fledglings by scrambling down the cliffs on Inishtrahull Island, the most northerly point of Ireland. Although up to 8eggs are laid normally only two chicks fledge. They seem to get comfort and security from the close contact. "
