Just One Kiss

The Natterjack Toad is the only toad found in Ireland. They live in burrows of their own making particularly in sandy soil from which they emerge at night in the summer months to feed on insects and worms. However they can be seen running around in full sunshine. It never leaps or crawls but its motion is more loike runningThey have few predators especially in Ireland where there are no snakes. When molested it spreads itself out flat on the ground and pretends to be dead.They grow to a maximum size of 25mm and can live to an age of 7-8years.
